Certified Excellence in Sustainable Tourism

STAR Hotel Certification by the Tourism Authority of Thailand
Mövenpick Siam Hotel Na Jomtien Pattaya is proud to be certified as a STAR Hotel by the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT). STAR, Sustainable Tourism Acceleration Rating is Thailand’s national certification program designed to promote sustainable tourism practices aligned with Thailand’s Sustainable Tourism Goals (STGs).
The STGs are built around 17 goals across four key dimensions:
- Governance — transparent and responsible management
- Socio-economic development — supporting local livelihoods and communities
- Culture — preserving and celebrating local heritage
- Environment — protecting natural resources and ecosystems
The STAR program unites stakeholders across the entire tourism value chain, working collaboratively to strengthen Thailand’s standing as a world-class, sustainable destination. By holding this certification, Mövenpick Siam Hotel Na Jomtien Pattaya demonstrates its active contribution to Thailand’s long-term vision for responsible tourism.

CF-Hotels: Measuring and Reducing Our Carbon Footprint
We are a proud member of the CF-Hotels (Carbon Footprint Hotels) program, a joint initiative by the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) and the Research Unit for Energy Economic & Ecological Management at Chiang Mai University.
Through this program, we:
- Systematically collect data on energy consumption across all operational areas
- Calculate and monitor our annual greenhouse gas emissions
- Track our carbon footprint with measurable, year-on-year targets
- Implement evidence-based carbon reduction initiatives
- Continuously improve our environmental performance
Joining CF-Hotels reflects our commitment to transparency and accountability in how we measure and manage our impact on the climate.

Green Globe Certification
Our Green Globe Certification affirms our dedication to environmental responsibility as a core business value, not simply a badge. It also underscores our commitment to diversity, equality, and inclusion, and to taking meaningful action on global climate change through responsible hospitality practices.
Our Sustainability Initiatives

- Using eco-friendly cleaning chemicals and products across all operational areas, reducing chemical impact on water and soil.
- Prioritising locally sourced products to cut transportation-related emissions and invest in the local economy and communities.
- Using Thai Green Label certified paper for all hotel documentation and printed materials.
- Implementing unbleached paper napkins to minimise the environmental impact of our dining and catering operations.
